Nicole Furey is a Registered Social Worker with over ten years experience working in health care and mental health. She is currently accepting adolescent and adult clients. While completing her Masters of Social Work degree at the University of Toronto, Nicole trained at the University Health Network, where she later worked in the areas of Oncology, Emergency Medicine, mental health, brain injury, and Intensive Care. As a therapist, Nicole has experience working with individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder, stress and anxiety, grief and loss, parenting difficulties, and those experiencing suicidal ideation. In addition, Nicole has a particular interest in working with adoptees and young adults. Nicole believes all humans deserve internal peace and a strong support system. Nicole draws on several approaches when working with her clients, including but not limited to CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and narrative theory. Nicole's practice approach is calm, welcoming, anti-oppressive, trauma informed, and anti-racist. Nicole is passionate about creating a safe space for all of her clients. When she isn't working, Nicole enjoys being outdoors with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
The fee for a 50-minute session with Nicole is $150. Your session may be covered under your insurance. Please reach out to discuss.
