Reiki is a gentle, energy-based practice that supports relaxation, balance, and overall wellbeing. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese words rei (universal) and ki (life energy). During a session, the practitioner works with Reiki energy using a combination of hands-on and hands-above techniques, allowing the mind and body the opportunity to slow down and restore.
Each session unfolds naturally in response to the client's mind, body, and energy, meeting them where they are and supporting what they need in that moment. Clients often leave a session feeling deeply relaxed, balanced, and refreshed.
Reiki can be a supportive practice for many different experiences, including:
● Stress, overwhelm, and anxiety
● Nervous system regulation
● Rest and relaxation
● Emotional wellbeing
● Fatigue and burnout
● Feeling disconnected or emotionally drained
● Life transitions
● Self-care and personal growth
● Spiritual exploration
● Complementing other therapeutic or wellness practices
Because Reiki supports the whole person, sessions can be beneficial in many ways. Every experience is unique and guided by what you need at the moment.
Every session begins with a conversation. The practitioner will take time to check in, discuss what has been coming up for the client, and explore what they would like the session to support.
When the client is ready, they will settle comfortably onto the treatment table while soft music plays. The practitioner will guide them through a gentle relaxation before beginning the Reiki treatment using a combination of hands-on and hands-above techniques, following the natural flow of the client's energy throughout the session.
After the treatment, time is set aside to reflect on the client's experience and discuss anything that may have come up during the session. Many clients leave feeling deeply relaxed, more grounded, and more connected to themselves.
