We are pleased to offer access to Nurse Practitioner services for current Calm Place clients, with a specific focus on mental health support. Our Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively within our therapy team to provide comprehensive, client-centred care. This service may include mental health assessment, diagnosis, medication support, and ongoing monitoring, all approached through a trauma-informed and holistic lens. By integrating medical and therapeutic care, we aim to reduce barriers, improve continuity, and support your mental health with greater depth and coordination.

Nancy is a Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in mental health and addictions, practicing across diverse settings from St. John’s to Hawaii. Her background spans community-based care and inpatient acute care, and she has worked extensively with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
Nancy completed her Master of Nursing: Nurse Practitioner degree at Athabasca University in January 2024 and has been working as a Primary Care Provider in community clinics in the St. John’s area for the past two years.
She is deeply committed to partnering with clients in their health care and brings a non-judgmental, trauma-informed, inclusive, and collaborative approach to individualized care. At The Calm Place, Nancy provides episodic care for clients who do not have a Primary Care Practitioner, supporting the management of medications prescribed for mental health concerns.
