These clinicians bring fresh, evidence-based approaches and are closely supervised by licensed psychologists or master’s-level supervisors—gaining direct insights and guidance to support your care.
Interns specialize in a variety of modalities, with detailed bios available to help you find the right fit. Clients often benefit from the opportunity to work with the same therapist through the duration of their training and, in some cases, beyond.

Steven is a counselling intern completing his Master of Counselling in Applied Psychology at the University of Lethbridge. He brings a varied background of clinical and community-based experience in his counselling practice. Steven has served as a Mental Health and Addictions Counsellor for over five years where he has provided individual and group therapy. He has also worked as a counsellor at an inpatient addiction-focused treatment centre, delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based counselling and addictions support in a residential setting.
Steven’s therapeutic approach is integrative and collaborative. He draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), narrative therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, trauma-informed, body-oriented approaches, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients in building resilience, emotional regulation, and self-compassion. He has specialized training in trauma, neurodevelopmental assessment (including Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments such as Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule and Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised), and has experience supporting children, youth, and adults with complex mental health and life challenges.
Steven believes that healing happens in the context of safe, trusting, and non-judgmental relationships. He strives to meet each client with warmth, curiosity, and respect, creating a space where their stories are heard and their strengths are celebrated. His work is informed by a strong commitment to cultural safety, community wellness, and client-centred care.

Beth Pollett (She/Her) is an intern completing her Master of Social Work at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. She is a registered social worker and brings years of experience supporting adolescents and adults, through community-based mental health services. Beth is passionate about offering affirming, anti-oppressive, and inclusive services for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Beth has a deep understanding of how trauma, adverse life experiences, and social and economic challenges impact mental health and wellness. Her areas of interest include relationship navigation, emotional regulation, effective communication, identity exploration and affirmation, anxiety, depression, and neurodiversity. Beth believes in collaborative practice. She offers a welcoming space, listens attentively, and tailors her approach to ensure individuals feel truly heard and supported. She draws on therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. Beth enjoys incorporating creativity into her practice, allowing space for self-expression and connection with art and nature. Outside of work, Beth enjoys spending time with her two dogs, kayaking, hiking, or playing board games.
